Sophie Cunningham reveals details of Cheryl Reeve conversation as she tries to move on from trans athlete controvsery

Sophie Cunningham has no bad blood with Cheryl Reeve. Cunningham, the Fever star who’s become controversial over saying trans athletes shouldn’t partake in women’s sports, conversed with Reeve, the Lynx head coach, about the topic before Sunday’s game. Reeve was sporting a “Trans Kids Belong” shirt on the sideline before the game and approached Cunningham for a conversation, which rapidly drew attention once it aired on the broadcast. Cunningham said the interaction with Reeve was civil. “Yeah, she just came up and I respect her for coming up in person,” Cunningham told reporters.“I think a lot of people hide behind screens and love that type of thing.“She had stories about her point of view and I had stories about my point of view and we left with love and respect and I think that’s what it’s all about.”Reeve shared a similar sentiment.“I think it’s great,” Reeve said Sunday.
