Socialist frontrunners tradition-trashing holiday rants come back to bite her: Worst of humanity comes out

Wisconsin state Rep.Francesca Hong may be leading the Democratic gubernatorial primary, but resurfaced social media posts suggest she has a problem with some of America’s biggest holidays.Hong, a dues-paying member of the Democratic Socialists of America, has recently drawn considerable flak for stating in a November 2020 post that the country should "cancel Thanksgiving" in order to "stop celebrating colonialism and the original superspreader event that killed Indegenous [sic.] folx and women." A comment she has since walked back amid backlash, claiming that it's her "favorite holiday."Less discussed, however, are her complaints about other popular American holidays."I miss working in a restaurant every day...except on VDay," she posted on Valentine's Day 2022.
