Giants legend Jon Miller dishes on sad Mike Krukow retirement news

Earlier this week, San Francisco Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow announced he will retire following the 2026 season, as he’s been battling a degenerative muscle disease called body myositis for the past two decades.On Friday, Giants radio play-by-play commentator Jon Miller appeared as a guest on 95.7 The Game and revealed what his phone call was like with Kurkow when he informed him he would be retiring.“He had the kindness to call me yesterday and …Just let me know person to person,” Miller said.“It was very sad and it was something that we were able to talk personally and remember some stories, and have some laughs, and then I tried to talk him out of it.”When Miller said he tried to talk Krukow out of retirement, he admitted that he was joking about it, and knew that this was something that was coming for a long time.
