Bob Chesney lays out high expectations for UCLA athletics

UCLA is less than a month away from kicking off the Bob Chesney era in College Football, and the new coach already has high expectations on how he can transform the school.Chesney appeared as a guest on The Big Ten Network’s Football Training Camp Series on Friday night and spoke about how the school is “One good football team away from having a pretty dominant athletic department.”“I said it many times before, but why not?” Chesney said.“Look at every other sport on this campus.

Every single other sport is either winning a National Championship or in the National Championship.First-round draft picks and Olympic gold medalists, that’s what this athletic department consists of.”Since Chesney was welcomed in as the head coach of the team last December, he’s been aggressive in changing the narrative that is UCLA football.He’s instilled a new belief in a team that has not made it to a bowl game in two years and finished last season 3-9 overall and 11th in The Big Ten with a 3-6 record.
