Exclusive | A San Francisco home that sold months ago for $2.3M just sold again for a whopping $5.1M

A San Francisco house flipper just cashed in on one of the fastest, biggest paydays the city has seen in years, and it is a sign of just how hot the market has gotten at the top.The mid-century home at 50 Cascade Walk in the Golden Gate Heights neighborhood sold for $2.31 million  in November 2025.Seven months later, after a full renovation, it closed for $5.167 million in June, nearly $1.3 million above its $3.885 million asking price. That is more than double the sale price from less than a year earlier, on a home that started out as a modest 4-bedroom, 2-bath, 2,203 square foot house. The listing for the reimagined property promised “unparalleled panoramic views” and “iconic San Francisco living,” with sight lines stretching to the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin Headlands, Ocean Beach and the downtown skyline. Set on a 10,000 square foot lot, described as rare for the hilly, view-driven pocket of the city, the finished home offered 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, a private office and an indoor-outdoor layout built for entertaining.Golden Gate Heights sits between Twin Peaks and the Sunset District, and it has long been a magnet for buyers chasing wide-open views without the price tag of Pacific Heights or Presidio Heights.
