Dodgers fans pissed as LA bats go cold in another ugly loss to Brewers

The boos were heard both on the field and virtually Sunday. After watching their beloved Los Angeles Dodgers stumble through a 6-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, dropping the four-game series 3–1 and surrendering a potentially critical postseason tiebreaker, angry and frustrated Dodgers fans turned to social media to voice their complaints. “The Dodgers just haven’t looked like a good baseball team for a few weeks now,” wrote one fan, stating the obvious. Since July 25, the Dodgers are 7–13 — one of the worst records in baseball of that three-week span.Going back even further, they’ve been a below .500 team since the end of June. The Dodgers still remain atop the NL West 74–51, but they have fallen into third in the National League standings, meaning LA would be playing in a best-of-three Wild Card series if the postseason began today instead of enjoying a first-round bye. Entering the series with the Brewers, the Dodgers were fresh off a three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals and had an opportunity to leapfrog Milwaukee for the best record in baseball if they won the series. The fact that they instead lost three of four at home, and the manner in which they lost, transformed frustration from Dodgers fans into something closer to an alarm bell. “These #Dodgers at bats are pathetic,” one fan posted.

“Zero hard contact. Not making the pitcher work AT ALL.”Another was even more direct: “This offense is dog s*** and I’m not really sure who to blame for that.” California's top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.
