Tom Pelissero quickly lands new job after being laid off by ESPN

Nearly a month after he was laid off by ESPN, Tom Pelissero has a new gig.On Monday, Netflix announced they are hiring Pelissero as an NFL insider and sideline reporter for the streaming service giant’s various league broadcasts throughout the year.He will also co-host “The Ringer NFL Show” and contribute to the outlet’s various other NFL pocasts of which are available on Netflix, including a weekly guest appearance on “The Bill Simmons Podcast.” “Let’s go,” Pelissero wrote in a repost of the announcement on X.

He spent nine years as an insider at NFL Network, which was acquired by ESPN about six months before he was laid off in a deal that saw the NFL acquire a 10 percent equity stake in the Worldwide Leader.He was a part of the same round of layoffs that included Ryan Clark, Cam Newton, Bart Scott, Karl Ravech, David Lloyd and Stephania Bell.During that time, he appeared alongside of Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo on their show “The Insiders.”“Thanks to all of you who watched me the past nine years on NFL Network,” Pelissero posted on X with a GIF of Jason Sudeikis playing his role as Ted Lasso.“Thanks to all of my colleagues who made the job fun and pushed me on a daily basis.

kickoff for the Bears-Packers and a 4:30 p.m.matchup between the Broncos and Bills.For Week 1, Pelissero will join a broadcast crew of Elle Duncan, Michael Irvin, Nick Foles and Clay Matthews III on the studio desk.
