Three takeaways from the Jets’ 17-0 preseason win over the Steelers on Friday night in Pittsburgh.1.Geno Smith was a perfect 7-for-7 with a touchdown on the first drive of the game, and that was all Aaron Glenn needed to see.

Smith looked like he had total command of the offense and converted two third downs on the drive.It was an impressive performance for Smith, who looks ready for the regular season.2.

The Jets played their first game without Breece Hall and the running game looked bad.Braelon Allen had three rushes for 4 yards on one series.

The other backs did not do much more.The longest run of the night was a 16-yard scramble by QB Cade Klubnik.

The good news for everyone worried about rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr.is he started the game.
