Controversial “manosphere” influencer Andrew Tate’s lawyer claimed in court that his client’s bombastic, misogynist behavior portrayed online is just a persona — comparing him on social media to Sacha Baron Cohen’s ridiculous “Ali G” character.“That is not the real Andrew Tate, the person Andrew Tate,” his lawyer Howard Srebnick argued Thursday.Andrew and his brother, Tristan, have been in federal custody in Miami since July 18, and are fighting extradition to the UK, where they face a slew of sexual assault and sex trafficking charges.The brothers appeared in court shackled and clad in tan prison garb for a hearing in which their lawyer argued they should be sprung from lockup while awaiting their extradition hearing.Morning Report delivers the latest news, videos, photos and more.
