NYPD shoots knife-wielding woman accused of stabbing two people in Times Square

A knife-wielding woman was shot and wounded by police in the heart of Times Square after she stabbed two people Monday, sources said.The suspect knifed two victims at West 42nd Street and Seventh Avenue in the Crossroads of the World just before 4:30 p.m., according to law enforcement sources.Officers found her behind the NYPD substation, pointing a knife at them, the sources said.Police opened fire, striking the armed woman, the sources said.Both the woman and her victims were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to the sources.This is a developing story.Please check back for updates....
