Costcos new California location nears completion as opening date revealed

Southern California bulk shoppers, get your carts ready.Costco’s highly anticipated warehouse in Camarillo is officially in the home stretch of construction, with an opening date listed as October 30, 2026.Fresh photos shared on Sunday by local outlet Conejo Valley Guide show the massive store looking increasingly close to completion, with much of the exterior structure up around the sprawling site.
“The Camarillo Costco is taking shape,” the outlet wrote on Instagram, noting that the opening date is now exactly two months away.The warehouse is being built at the western end of the Camarillo Town Center, just south of the 101 freeway.
The 160,000-square-feet space is slated to bring the wholesale giant’s signature bulk groceries, $4.99 rotisserie chickens, an optical department, a pharmacy, a food court and more to the area.About 900 parking stalls surround the building to handle traffic surges, and the lot also includes dedicated electric vehicle charging stations.“Yippee..I’m ready to shop for Thanksgiving,” one excited local commented.“Ready for that Kirkland swagger,” another added.Locals have already gotten a taste of what’s to come.
Costco opened the development’s 32-pump gas station on May 1.The Camarillo store has been a long time coming, though.
