Kansas stranger allegedly kisses toddler on cheek before blowing out her birthday candle

A Kansas mother was left seething when her toddler daughter was kissed by the owner of the restaurant where they were celebrating her birthday before blowing out her candle and cussing them out.Cassie Berrios alleged the unsettling scene took place during her child’s 2nd birthday party inside Stearman Field Bar & Grill in Benton, Kan., on Aug.28.Servers had just delivered an ice cream cup topped with a burning candle to the toddler when the stranger came up from behind the girl and kissed her on the cheek, according to video obtained by KAKE.

“While attempting to blow out her candle a MAN who has now been identified as the Very owner of Stearman Bar and Grill, approached my TODDLER enjoying her moment by putting his arm around her, called her beautiful and attempted to give her a kiss on her innocent lips,” Berrios wrote on Facebook.“Luckily in that moment my daughter moved her head in the opposite direction causing him to kiss her on her right cheek but still very near her lips,” the disturbed mom said.The man, who the restaurant identified as its “equity holder,” then blew out the girl’s candle as the adults around the table looked on in horror.One of the girl’s loved ones wiped off the cheek where she was kissed before the mother allegedly confronted the man, telling him not to go around kissing other people’s children.The mother claimed that the man allegedly attempted to touch the girl before being blocked off.“(He) responded by clearly ignoring what I just said and attempted to touch her again but failed as I was guarding her, in response he told me to “ go F–k myself,” the mother wrote.After the vulgar confrontation, the man walked out of the bar with another woman who had witnessed the encounter but didn’t stop him.No arrests have been made but police have opened an investigation after being called to the bar after reports of a battery on a child, KAKE reported.The mother accused the man of being drunk but said workers told...
