Dodgers finally get positive injury update as crucial slugger doesnt feel any pain

The Dodgers have been scuffling without All-Star outfielder Andy Pages.Pages landed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured hand after getting hit by a 100 mph fastball in a game against the Pirates on Aug.21.

However, the latest update on Pages bodes well for the slumping Dodgers, who are below .500 dating back to July 1.Pages is reportedly pain-free in his fractured hand, according to Dodgers hitting coach Aaron Bates.He is expected to start swinging in the coming days after having surgery on his left hand just over a week ago.

Prior to going on the IL, Pages was averaging .272 with a .796 OPS.He began the 2026 season as one of the hottest hitters in baseball, which propelled him to earn the first All-Star selection of his young career.

The Dodgers desperately need a spark for their offense, which has been far from consistent this summer.On Wednesday night against the Cardinals, LA went 1-for-18 with runners in scoring position and left 13 runners on base.Perhaps, Pages’ return can provide a boost for the Dodgers.
