Horror discovery in creek near ritzy California beach town

A body was found floating in Ballona Creek near Playa Vista on LA’s West Side Monday morning.Emergency responders arrived at the bike path running parallel to the creek, near the Lincoln Boulevard crossing, around 8:45 a.m.after a caller reported seeing a person in the water.Aerial footage showed multiple LA Fire Department and Police Department vehicles along the access road, ABC News reported.Authorities closed a stretch of the Ballona Creek bike path to allow investigators to process the scene, according to KTLA.
