Lindsay Clancy attorney's appeal to Trump for pardon could hurt his credibility, expert says

After Lindsay Clancy's criminal defense attorney made a surprise appeal to President Donald Trump for a pardon Tuesday morning, legal experts dismissed the request as unrealistic while questioning the strategy."There isn't going to be a pardon for the simple reason there is no mechanism by law which would allow said pardon," said Mark Bederow, a New York City-based criminal defense attorney who has been following the case.The 36-year-old former nurse faced three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan.After their deaths, she attempted to kill herself and was paralyzed from the injuries.
