A.J. Brown exits first game with Patriots in injury nightmare

A.J.Brown departed his debut with the Patriots due to an ankle injury.The three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver left the field in the third quarter of Wednesday’s season opener against the Seahawks to undergo X-rays.
He was later listed as questionable before being ruled out before the start of the fourth quarter.The 29-year-old Brown had three receptions for 26 yards on four targets in his first game for New England following an offseason trade from the Eagles.Shortly after halftime, Brown could not haul in a low third-down toss from quarterback Drake Maye, and Seattle cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett landed awkwardly on the veteran receiver’s lower leg while breaking up the pass.The Pats acquired Brown in June from Philadelphia in exchange for a 2028 first-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder.Brown entered this season with 524 career receptions for 8,029 yards and 56 touchdowns in seven seasons with the Titans and the Eagles....
