They can’t help themselves.Even on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the leftist media mob reached into its bags of dirty tricks to smear New York and the White House.In a day that reeked of fact-free coverage, politicians with press passes discovered rampant hate and prejudice against Muslims in Gotham.They also accused President Trump of using the day of infamy as a flimsy excuse for the war against Iran.My only surprise is that I am still surprised by the shoddy tricks.

Long before the latest dive into the sewer, it was clear that facts don’t matter when left-wing outfits have a narrative to sell.Naturally, the culprits peddling these lies are led by The New York Times.In a special section of Friday’s edition supposedly devoted to the 25th anniversary of the deadliest day in American history, the wizards running the outlet thought it was a good time to announce a long story under a single word: “Islamophobia.”The bizarre concoction involves two writers twisting reality beyond recognition to reach a blatantly false conclusion.

Namely, that despite the election of the city’s first Muslim mayor last year, Zohran Mamdani, “anti Muslim prejudice endures, echoing the Islamophobia that arose in the earliest days after Sept.11.”The claim is so far off the mark that it should be flagged as fiction.

There was no wave of Islamophobia after Sept.11th, nor is there one now.Yet the story insists that, without facts or statistics, that the Sept.

11 attacks “left many Muslims scarred by heavy-handed law enforcement tactics and the suspicion if not outright hostility of classmates, co-workers, elected officials and cable news commentators.”In other words, New York is chock-full of bigots.The broadside recalls Hillary Clinton’s smear about the nation brimming with “deplorables.”It’s all wishful thinking by the Democratic Party and race-baiters who have destroyed the credibility of the once-great Times.Here are the key numbers the story ignores.
