A radiographer discovered she had leukemia after brushing off her unexplained bruises as pole dancing injuries.Megan Wright, 28, lived a normal active life until earlier this year when she noticed large bruises on her arms which took up to a month to disappear.Megan, from Dundee, Scotland, visited her GP for an ongoing knee injury in February and casually mentioned the bruising as well as tiredness she thought might be a sign of anemia.Her GP arranged a blood test and hours later she was told she had either lymphoma or leukemia.Megan underwent a bone marrow biopsy which confirmed acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).Megan said: “It was just a whirlwind.“I’d gone from just going to the GP for something completely different to being diagnosed with leukemia within days.“I’ve still got quite a lot of treatment to go, but I’m in remission, which is obviously really good.“I felt fit and healthy.I was doing pole fitness, going out with my friends and just living my normal life.“Then suddenly I was being told I had leukemia.
