One Pennsylvania man got Ripped off.A 64-year-old man was swindled out of $42,700 by a person or person pretending to be WWE wrestler Rhea Ripley online in March, Pennsylvania State Police revealed this week.Per a Kittanning public information release report, the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation.The 29-year-old Australian wrestler has not publicly commented on the situation.WWE wrestlers are no stranger to scammers using their identities to commit fraud.In 2004, a 79-year-old man was “convinced he was in a romantic relationship” with Alexa Bliss, giving the faker $1 million in retirement saving and his granddaughter’s college fund over multiple years.The news comes on the heels of several high-profile sports-related cons.This week, Chiefs star Travis Kelce was named as a victim in a $35 million Ponzi scheme.Daejon Love is accused of scamming 26 women out a reported $1.3 million while pretended to be a 49ers player.The 35-year-old and the teen accomplice who portrayed his investment manager were arrested by federal agents in August, with Love remaining in custody and awaiting trial.In early August, Mohamed Coulibaly was found dead in a pool after Barron’s named him the leader of a racket that got professional athletes to buy stakes in fake Shopify stores.Earlier this year, ex-NFLer Joel Rufus French was sentenced to 196 months in prison for his role in defrauding Medicare and the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs out of $197 million....
