USC seizes momentum vs Rutgers with game-changing 99-yard pick six

The 12th-ranked USC Trojans football team is in an unexpected nail-biter against Big Ten opponent Rutgers on Saturday.The Trojans are winning 42-28 in the fourth quarter, despite most believing that they would blow their opponent out.Things were looking especially bleak in the third quarter, when Rutgers’ offense was in the red zone down 20-14.Rutgers quarterback Dylan Lonergan threw a ball that would have tied the game if it was caught by a Rutgers player.

Instead, it was intercepted by USC’s Prophet Brown at the 1-yard line, and he took it 99 yards for a momentum-changing pick six.Credit to Rutgers, which didn’t let this massive shift sink its chances.They’ve battled back and are now making it a competitive game against USC in the final quarter.USC standout freshman wide receiver Trent Mosley wasn’t active for Saturday’s game due to a knee injury.
