LA restaurant loved for its eclectic offering closing after 14-year run

Another longtime Los Angeles restaurant is checking out.Messhall Kitchen, the popular Los Feliz neighborhood hangout housed inside a storied former Brown Derby building, announced it will permanently close Oct.17 after 14 years in business.“Thank you to our team, past & present, for giving this place its heart,” the restaurant announced on Instagram.

“What a pleasure it’s been,” Messhall captioned the emotional farewell.The news triggered an outpouring of grief from locals and regulars past and present, who mourned the loss of yet another neighborhood watering hole.
