A Kansas great-grandmother’s body was found stuffed in a suitcase and dropped off at a fire station in a heartbreaking case police are investigating as a homicide.Cops said two people brought the suitcase to a Wichita fire station Sept.16 and said there was a body inside — which was later identified as Lorretta Moody, 67.“This is just evil.

There’s no other word for it,” her granddaughter, Alexis Trotter, told KWCH.“She wouldn’t want to be known as the person who showed up in a suitcase at a fire station,” she said.“She would be wanting to be known as the loving person that she was, a loving grandmother and a loving great-grandmother.”Police have already interviewed the two people who brought the body to the fire station, but the investigation remains ongoing and no arrests have been announced.Before her body was found, Moody had been reported missing to police, according to KAKE.The Post has contacted Wichita Police Department for an update on the case.Trotter said her family wants to remember their beloved grandmother for the life she lived, not the tragic circumstances of her death.“[She] loved all of us grandkids, her great-grandkids,” Trotter said.
