Rams pull fast one on Eagles with recent active roster acquisition

The Rams just might be one step ahead of the Eagles.Or at least are trying to.The Rams are two weeks from traveling and playing in a Week 4 matchup against the Eagles and have signed safety Maximus Pulley from Philadelphia’s practice squad.Pulley’s emergence to the Rams comes after the team placed veteran running back Ronnie Rivers on injured reserve due to a calf injury.Rivers has played a key part for the Rams’ special teams.According to Eagles reporter Zach Berman of The Athletic, Pulley was one of the players on Philadelphia’s practice squad that the team was really excited about but didn’t have a spot on the active roster for him due to a crowded safety position that includes Andrew Mukuba, Marcus Epps and Kenny Moore.During the preseason, Pro Football Focus had Pulley listed as the 12th-highest-graded safety, when he recorded 16 tackles and five stops.Pulley spent the entire offseason with Philadelphia after he was signed by the team as an undrafted rookie free agent from Wofford.Last year with Wofford, he had five interceptions and returned two for touchdowns.The Rams’ decision to add Pulley to their active roster comes a year after the Eagles poached offensive lineman Willie Lampkin just before the regular season started.Now with the Rams looking for revenge, after a devastating 33-26 loss that included a blocked field goal returned for a touchdown by Jordan Davis, Los Angeles is looking to get every advantage it can....
