Alison Wonderland and WINK have joined forces for a new single, ‘RESCUE U,’ out now on the former’s own FMU Records imprint. It has been a week of milestones for Wonderland.
Fresh off celebrating her 40th birthday, the Aussie electronic music superstar has now released her first independent single in 15 years, a significant moment in an illustrious career spanning nearly two decades of headline festival slots across the globe and era-defining hits.‘RESCUE U’ opens big and bright, with Wonderland’s own raw vocals leading the way before she and WINK uncork a synth-soaked trap drop churning with distorted bass.
The track debuted during her set on the cosmicMEADOW stage EDC Las Vegas earlier this year and had been circulating as an ID across her recent GHOST WORLD tour since.“It’s my favorite song I’ve written, and I love how nostalgic it feels,” Wonderland said in a statement.
“When I close my eyes, it just brings me back to my childhood for some reason. And I think WINK brings such a freshness to what I created.
“This feels like a really big song.It feels like something I’d wanna hear at festivals, in my car, and at a house party.
And it’s also my son’s favorite song of all time.” WINK said the process felt natural.“‘RESCUE U’ was instantly one of my all-time favorite songs I’ve ever worked on,” said the fast-rising bass music producer.
“Alex is a close friend and mentor so working together felt super natural.” You can listen to ‘RESCUE U’ below and find the new collaboration on streaming platforms here.Scroll to continue more from edm EDM.com On-Deck Circle: Porter Robinson, Knock2, Sara Landry & More Follow Alison Wonderland: X: x.com/awonderlandInstagram: instagram.com/alisonwonderlandTikTok: tiktok.com/@alisonwonderlandFacebook: facebook.com/awonderdjSpotify: tinyurl.com/5yfaj32v Follow WINK: X: x.com/winksoundsInstagram: instagram.com/winkso...
