NJ insurance executive kills wife, daughter and himself in familys $1.7M mansion

A New Jersey insurance executive fatally shot his wife and daughter before turning the gun on himself inside of their mansion, according to county officials.David Grodnick, 61, his wife Lora Grodnick, 62, and daughter, Sloane Grodnick, 24, were each found with gunshot wounds to the head in the Montgomery Township home on Oct.2, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.Investigators determined Lora and Sloane’s deaths to be homicides and David’s a suicide.

It was not immediately clear how long the three had been dead.Cops were first called to a home on Wild Azalea Lane at about 2:59 p.m.on Oct.

1, after receiving a request for a welfare check on the residents, according to the prosecutor’s office. Officers were unable to locate the occupants and an investigation began into their whereabouts.They gained entry to the home just before 6 p.m.
