Stitches weighs wild-card picks as he awaits Guardians-White Sox Game 5
The division-series round did not go as well as the wild-card round. We took the Blankees (-130), who turned out to be a false favorite.
They threw Cam Schlittler, Gerrit Cole and Max Fried at Tampa Bay.The Rays threw them a shovel to clear their walkways with this winter.
The Padres (+152) series with the Brewers was more aggravating. They lost Game 1 after Ty France’s homer hit the roof and landed in Jackson Chourio’s glove.
Lost Game 2 when Mason Miller, one strike from victory, couldn’t seal the deal. Then they were eliminated when Garrett Mitchell robbed Manny Machado of a game-tying homer.
This series did more damage to my heart than a corned beef sandwich. The Dodgers (-235) cut our losses by chopping down the Bravos.
We will do the math when the White Sox-Guardians series ends.Et tu, White Sox? They had two chances to finish off the Guardians. They will be going back to Cleveland instead, 9-5 the final.
