California city hall goes jurassic with dino wedding ceremony

A pair of love-struck dinosaurs turned San Francisco City Hall into their own personal Jurassic Park on Thursday, trading traditional wedding attire for inflatable T-Rex costumes in a hilariously prehistoric celebration of holy matrimony.The duo caused quite the commotion Oct.8 when they were spotted posing for wedding photos on the historic building’s grand staircase, surrounded by other couples who apparently didn’t get the memo that the dress code was prehistoric chic.One dinosaur even accessorized with a flowing white bridal veil and a pink-and-white bouquet, proving that even creatures with tiny arms can have big wedding dreams.And while most newlyweds hope their marriage lasts a lifetime, these two appeared to be shooting for 65 million years.Photographer Kate Rasskazova, who captured the unusual wedding portraits, told The California Post that the couple’s request was a first in her lengthy career.“I’ve never had a request quite like this before, but I was so happy to get the chance to photograph people in dinosaur costumes! My son has been obsessed with dinosaurs for the past two years, so for me it was truly an honor,” said Rasskazova, who has been a photographer for more than 15 years.Rather than questioning the couple or their ability to exchange rings with those notoriously stubby T-Rex arms, Rasskazova happily embraced the Jurassic-sized assignment.“They’re wonderful people with a great sense of humor, and I love supporting my clients’ ideas, no matter how wild they might sound at first,” she told The Post.The spectacle was also captured on video by San Francisco resident Rio De Léon, who had simply stopped by City Hall to admire its stunning architecture.Instead, he got a front-row seat to what might be the most unexpected wedding photo shoot in the building’s history.“I started recording the space from above, and as I panned to the right, I spotted the newlyweds in inflatable dinosaur costumes waiting to take their wedding ph...
