Cops investigating death of 5-year-old NYC girl after responding to 911 call for assault

Police are investigating the death of a 5-year-old girl found with injuries inside a Queens home Wednesday night.Cops responded to a 911 call for assault inside a home in the South Richmond Hill neighborhood just before 7 p.m., and discovered the child unconscious and unresponsive, the NYPD said.EMS rushed the young girl in critical condition to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, cops said.The girl, who has not been identified pending family notification, was found with trauma to her mouth and nose, sources said.Police said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the girl’s cause of death. No arrests have been made as of late Wednesday night....
