The DSAs war against New York: Letters to the Editor Oct. 16, 2026

The Issue: DSA figures’ fury at ICE after the shooting of a criminal illegal in The Bronx.Gangbangers like Oscar Belgal are foot soldiers in the DSA’s war against New York (“DSA’s cho‘ICE’ to protect Zo,” Oct.13).In their warped vision of New York, having a five-year-old child grants violent criminals untouchable status.Without even waiting to be sworn into office, Chevalier has shown New Yorkers that making the city a better place is not part of her agenda.Joseph KoenigManhattanThe inept mayor should be concerned about criminal illegal aliens, but instead the NYPD and other law enforcement officers are being forced to deal with the fallout from his socialist policies. Those officers and their families are Mamdani’s constituents, and their safety is his responsibility.

He needs to wipe that grin off his face, be quiet, and focus on the job he was elected to do.E.MullerBarnegat, NJCongressional candidate Darializa Avila Chevalier and her other DSA comrades don’t think Belgal should have been targeted by ICE.

Belgal is a criminal illegal alien — what more do we need to know?Allan BriefLivingston, NJMayor Mamdani and his gaggle of socialists claim to have compassion and support for the poor, but their support for criminals like Oscar Belgal tells a far different story.People who actually live in marginalized neighborhoods are forced to deal with the horrors of violent illegals, and those who are hurt or murdered by them clearly mean nothing to our soft-on-crime leaders.ICE is not the problem. These officers are taking criminals off our streets and deserve our respect.Catherine AdagoManhattanNew Yorkers have to understand how unattached to reality the DSA is.

They are calling for the end of police, prisons, law, and order. The top reason over 10 million illegals crossed our borders under Biden was that they didn’t have law and order in their country.Subscribe to our daily Post Opinion newsletter! Please provide a val...
