New Splice Report Outlines Electronic Music Production Trends Heading Into 2027

Type a few words into a sample library’s search bar and you give away more about your next track than you probably intend.Multiply that by millions of music producers, and you get a clear snapshot of what dancefloors will want next.

Splice has long served as a seedbed for those electronic music trends. The sample marketplace has released a new report after placing a year’s worth of insights under a microscope, examining how its users searched for and downloaded sounds between September 2025 and August 2026.
