Savannah James shares why daughter Zhuri refused to leave LA for LeBron

LeBron James’ decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers for the Philadelphia 76ers was a family matter. It was reported that LeBron and his wife Savannah’s 12-year-old daughter, Zhuri, would have a say in James’ free agency decision. But LeBron taking his talents to Philadelphia didn’t mean his family followed him there, as Savannah and Zhuri have remained in LA.Savannah explained why Zhuri ultimately wanted to stay on the West Coast instead of following her father to Philly in her “Baby, This is Keke Palmer” and “Everybody’s Crazy” collaboration podcast episode from Tuesday.“[Zhuri] was trying to figure it out.
Like, ‘So, am I not going to see him? How is this going to work?’ But we also [told] her, ‘So, you can go to school, we can go to New York, we can go to Philly.’ And she’s actually like, ‘Yeah, no,'” Savannah said.“[Zhuri said,] ‘I don’t want to be away from school for that long.I still want to play with my teammates.’ So, she really was just kind of like, ‘Okay, we’ll still visit.
I’ll have my time, but I still get to go and do what I want to do with my friends and my teammates.'”It makes sense for Zhuri to want to remain where her friends, volleyball team, and life is, especially when she and Savannah still head East to watch LeBron when they’re able. The entire James clan will get to reunite in Los Angeles when the 76ers come to town on Christmas Day....
