Illegal immigrant arrested for multiple rapes in East Hampton

An illegal immigrant from Ecuador has been arrested in East Hampton for multiple rapes, authorities said.Wilfrido Alberto Maurath Tacuri, 49, was arrested Friday following an investigation by the East Hampton Town Police Detective Division, the East Hampton Town Police Department said.Cops responded to a home on Muir Boulevard near Three Mile Harbor where an unidentified victim claimed to have been raped on multiple occasions, News12 reported.Tacuri is an illegal immigrant from Ecuador who entered the US on an unknown date and at an unknown location, the Department of Homeland Security told The Post.“Under President Trump and Secretary Mullin, criminal illegal aliens are not welcome in the United States,” said a DHS spokesperson.Tacuri was being held at police headquarters and was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at East Hampton Town Justice Court, according to police.The investigation is ongoing.Mugshot photos showed the Ecuadorian on the verge of tears.The arrest comes as East Hampton has adopted local laws restricting police cooperation with federal immigration authorities on civil immigration enforcement.Rep.
