NYC woman racks up $40K in bogus tickets over bizarre license plate mix-up

It was a real pain in the asphalt.Carole Blank Brown, a 70-year-old self-employed lawyer and real estate title agent, unknowingly piled up $40,000 in fines after some ticket trouble. The culprit — her vanity license plate.Inspired by her maiden name — “BLANK” — was what the plate read on her shiny, red BMW convertible.
