Divisive Democrat David Hogg says this congresswoman is the type of leader the party needs

Activist David Hogg described far-left Rep.Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) on Friday as “the type of leader” the rudderless Democratic Party needs. “I love her.
She is amazing,” the embattled vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee said of the outspoken Dallas congresswoman during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club” radio show. “I think that people want to see somebody who fights and calls out the bulls–t ultimately,” Hogg told host Charlamagne Tha God.“I think that’s what Jasmine does.” Crockett, who has a long history of drawing headlines and controversy over wild statements, has the kind of “authenticity” Democrats are looking for in a standard-bearer, according to Hogg. “I think Jasmine is, frankly, the type of leader that we’re really looking to support in some senses, right?” he said.
“Somebody who is out there that frankly doesn’t give a damn what the other side — at least the elected Republicans in Congress — say.” Crockett, 44, has rabidly opposed President Trump since his landslide win in the 2024 election, calling him a “dictator” and an “enemy to the United States” and referring to the commander in chief as “the person that allegedly got elected.”The congresswoman, who even suggested in March that she was unsure the US “will have elections” in 2028, has also described deported alleged MS-13 gang banger Kilmar Abrego Garcia as “a lot less criminal” than Trump.
