Curb Your Enthusiasm star Jeff Garlin asked about Rangers fight during Red Wings locker room visit

Jeff Garlin couldn’t curb his enthusiasm while visiting the Red Wings locker room after Sunday night’s game against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The comedian and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star had been at the game and popped into the visiting dressing room after the Red Wings topped the Blueshirts 2-1, even jumping in for part of Moritz Seider’s chat with the media. The Red Wings defenseman deferred to Garlin when he was asked how important the team’s play was after they had lost to the Sabres in overtime on Saturday night. “So important.We got killed and I hated it,” Garlin said, hamming it up for the amusement of the assembled press. Moritz started to answer the question when it appeared to dawn on Garlin that the Red Wings had lost in OT. “Ah, no good, so tonight felt good,” he added. Sunday night’s game at MSG ended with a benches-clearing brawl after Red Wings forward Mason Appleton sent the puck into the Rangers’ empty net following the final buzzer, which Blueshirts goalie Jonathan Quick did not appreciate and he went after the Detroit player. Quickly, both benches were out on the ice.“Can I tell you something? I was trying to get over the glass to join the scrum,” Garlin said next to a smirking Seider.

“I’m a scrummer.I’ve been scrumming….how long you been scrumming for?”After Seider told the comedian he had been “scrumming” for a “couple years,” Garlin exclaimed, “I’ve been scrumming before you were born.
