Eagles escape Lions after controversial pass interference call: Absolutely terrible

The Eagles escaped with another tight win Sunday night, but not without some help from the refs. With the Lions down by seven with less than two minutes left in the fourth, Detroit cornerback Rock Ya-Sin was called for a controversial defensive pass interference call as he defended Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown during a Jalen Hurts incompletion on a third-and-8 play from the Philly 37-yard line.Ya-Sin did not appear to prevent Brown from making an attempt to catch the ball, and without a penalty, the Eagles would’ve been forced to punt, giving Detroit a chance to tie the game with one timeout remaining at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday night.Instead, the Eagles picked up a fresh set of downs at their 45-yard line and were able to run out the clock in a 16-9 victory at home.“Oh, come on.
