Woman on drug-fueled bender killed bicycle-riding past, DA says
A California woman killed a father-of-four while on a drug-fueled rampage along the Pacific Coast Highway — striking him and two other cyclists with her car, prosecutors say.Amber Calderon had fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana in her system when she plowed into the bicyclists, killing one and leaving two others critically injured, she is now facing upgraded felony charges of vehicular manslaughter after a toxicology found the crazy cocktail in her system.Calderon was driving southbound on the scenic coastal road in Huntington Beach on Oct.
20 when she drove onto the shoulder and the bikers, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.The DA says Calderon did not stop and proceeded to drive into a beach parking lot before a witness blocked her car and prevented her from fleeing until authorities arrived.Pastor Eric Williams, 45, died at the scene while the two other bicyclists suffered spinal fractures, broken ribs and a broken ankle, law enforcement said.Get in early.
