Christian Watson lands $110 million extension with Packers after impressive injury rebound

Packers wide receiver Christian Watson agreed to a four-year, $110.5 million contract Thursday to remain with the team, according to multiple reports.The deal reportedly includes a $31 million signing bonus.Watson’s agreement comes weeks after Green Bay extended fellow top receiver Jaylen Reed when he agreed to a three-year, $50.24 million deal at the end of April.Earlier this offseason, the Packers lost Romeo Doubs when he left in free agency for New England and they traded Dontayvion Wicks to Philadelphia.Watson signed a one-year, $11 million contract last September as a gap deal while he was returning from a torn ACL that occurred toward the end of the 2024 season.Watson performed well after returning from his injury last year, catching 35 passes for 611 yards and six touchdowns in the last 10 games in 2025.In four seasons with the Packers since his selection in the second round of the 2022 draft, Watson has caught 133 passes for 2,264 yards and 20 touchdowns.“I definitely think they’ll be a lot more opportunities for the guys who are out there this year, myself included,” Watson said at team OTAs this week, per ESPN.“Just gotta embrace that and continue to make plays when our numbers are called.”Watson, Reed, and Matthew Golden will likely be the top three receivers in Green Bay this season.Quarterback Jordan Love spoke highly of his receivers this week.“We’ve still got a very deep receiver room,” he said, per ESPN.
