Forget Marvel canon, Captain America is back.Twins prospect Walter Jenkins — nicknamed Captain America — helped a young fan who fainted before a game Tuesday, carrying him away from the field to receive attention.The Triple-A St.Paul Saints share video of Jenkins’ heroics, showing the elite prospect standing to the right of a young fan, Lucas, who stumbled during the national anthem.Jenkins, 21, immediately extended his right hand to grab Lucas while he started wobbling.
As Lucas went limp, Jenkins scooped him up and ushered him away, running with the fan in his arms and giving him to the team’s athletic trainer, per MLB.com.The team later posted a photo of Lucas flashing his right thumb up.“Not all heroes wear capes.Some wear a #23 Saints jersey,” the team tweeted.
