Kayvon Thibodeaux already flashing disruptive Giants game

Observations from Thursday’s Giants training camp practice:OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux had a tipped pass and near-interception on Day 1 and he made a splash play early on Day 2, anticipating a Jameis Winston pass on the left sideline for an interception that he probably would have taken to the house for a Pick-6.There is nothing bad about the setup at the Greenbrier — it is easy to see why NFL teams like to train at this famous resort. On the first day fans were allowed to watch practice, the bleachers were about half-full on the sideline and sparsely filled in the end zone.
It’s quite a long trip from New Jersey as evidenced by the attendance of 1,100.Co-owner John Mara watched the start of practice standing behind one end zone, then sat on a golf cart. His late father, Wellington, couldn’t get enough of training camp — he loved it.
John Mara is battling cancer and he made the trip out here to be with his team.DT Sam Roberts, a former Patriots fourth round draft pick signed by the Giants as a free agent, continues to ramp up his work after coming off the physically unable to perform list.If healthy, Roberts should compete for a job along the defensive front.
