Driver, 21, smashes car into UK kebab shop while on phone, destroying building: video

Horrifying newly released video shows the moment a distracted UK driver slams into the side of a kebab shop, sending the front of the building crashing down. Cops said that Daniel Mohammed, 21, had just overtaken another car around a curve when he lost control of his vehicle in Staffordshire around 6 a.m.on July 20, 2025. The driver, who authorities said was using his phone at the time of the accident, then barreled at high speed into the front of Burslem’s Rose Fast Food, authorities said. Chilling video shows the terrifying moment unfold, beginning when Mohammed’s black Ford is seen drifting out of control – heading straight toward the front of the eatery.

The scary footage then shows his vehicle strike the building, completely demolishing the front of the car, before bouncing off and landing in the intersection.In the video’s most shocking moment, the front of the restaurant is seen collapsing as dust and debris fill the streets. There were no injuries inside the kebab shop, but a female passenger who was riding with Mohammed suffered a broken collar bone and two fractures, according to authorities. Investigators also found that Mohammed was operating the vehicle without any insurance, a crime in the country, prosecutors said. The motorist pleaded guilty to charges for dangerous driving, using a vehicle without insurance and using a mobile phone while driving a vehicle. Mohammed will serve for two years and two months for the crimes, and is banned from driving for nearly four years and must also pass a remedial driving test, the Sun reported. Judge Graeme Smith said it was “astonishing” that more weren’t injured in the accident. “Having watched the video, it is astonishing that both of you were not more seriously injured,” Smith said....
