Slain NJ mom Brooke Hanlons family backs investigators 2 months after fatal stabbing

More than two months after New Jersey mother Brooke Hanlon, 35, was found stabbed to death inside her Chester home, her family is sharing more details about the beloved wife, daughter, sister and friend that she was, as her killing remains unsolved.A new obituary for the slain psychotherapist says she “is survived by her beloved daughter, Avery, her sister, Paige Haggerty, her parents, Melissa and Joseph Haggerty, and her husband, James ‘Conor’ Hanlon.”Hanlon was found dead on June 6, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office has been investigating the case as a homicide with “multiple sharp force injuries” as her cause of death.The Prosecutor’s Office is the lead investigative agency over the case and has not yet revealed a suspect or person of interest.Regarding the ongoing investigation, the Haggerty family said in a statement sent to Fox News Digital, “We have full and unwavering confidence in the investigative efforts of law enforcement.”Conor Hanlon was the person who called 911 to report he found his wife unconscious and not breathing on the floor of their home.In the frantic call, he is heard asking the operator to give him “CPR instructions,” then says “there’s a laceration” on his wife’s body.Conor and Brooke were married nearly five years before she was killed.“While in Boston, Brooke met and fell in love with her future husband, Conor Hanlon.Brooke and Conor were married in June 2021 and lived in the Boston area until they moved to Chester, New Jersey in September 2023.
