Autistic Man Whose Wholesome Festival Story Went Viral Will DJ at Same Event in 2027

Adam James, a 23-year-old autistic aspiring DJ from High Wycombe, England, has been offered a set at Boomtown Fair in 2027 after his first solo festival experience went viral online.Adam’s father Andy wrote in a Facebook post that a group of festivalgoers from Bristol welcomed his son after he attended his first festival alone.

The group approached Adam to borrow his tent mallet, then invited him to camp with them for the rest of the weekend.Andy said the family, including Adam’s sister, a Boomtown veteran herself, had been nervous about Adam attending his first festival on his own.

He added that Adam had spent the past year saving up for the trip, making the weekend especially meaningful.“He just run up to me crying,” Andy told the BBC.

“He said, ‘I’ve found my people, I don’t want to ever leave.'” Adam was later reunited with the group at a pub in Bristol once the story had already begun spreading online.Boomtown co-founder Luke Mitchell then asked Andy whether the festival could arrange a set for Adam, and a spokesperson later confirmed the offer.
