Packers star Josh Jacobs charged after allegedly shoving girlfriend in heated spat over other girls

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been charged with two misdemeanors after he allegedly got violent with his girlfriend during a heated altercation earlier this year.Jacobs and his significant other began quarreling at his Brown County, Wisconsin home on May 23 after the woman accused the three-time Pro Bowler of “talking to other girls,” a court filing obtained by the California Post on Thursday stated.The woman was upset with Jacobs for the behavior and threw his phone, according to the filing.In response, Jacobs took the woman’s phone and refused to give it back, and “a physical struggle” that “lasted several minutes” then ensued, the document stated.Jacobs left the home in a vehicle with the woman’s phone, and, according to the court filing, the woman got in a separate car and followed him.The two eventually returned to Jacobs’ place, where their dispute continued.The couple “went into the bedroom and Jacobs was pacing back and forth,” officials wrote in the filing.The woman “grabbed her second phone from a duffle bag, and Jacobs called her a derogatory name.
He made some comment to the effect that he would ‘do something to her.’”Moments later, as the woman tried to leave the home, Jacobs “grabbed her and threw her to the ground and she struck her head, suffering an injury,” according to the filing.Jacobs is now facing one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of misdemeanor criminal damage to property over the incident, prosecutors said on Thursday.“The Brown County District Attorney’s Office filed a criminal complaint charging Joshua Jacobs with two criminal offenses,” Brown County DA David L.Lasee said.
