Death Cab for Cutie have unveiled a batch of shows behind I Built You a Tower early next year.Ben Gibbard and co.
had already booked a string of dates in Europe, Japan, and Australia—appended by a one-off show in Chicago in November—and will head now out on a full North American trek starting in Nashville in March.With the news comes a video for “Stone Over Water” from musician and animator Sean Solomon, which you can watch below.The new dates run into the spring, with shows above, below, and—in the case of Niagara Falls—practically on the U.S./Canada border.
There are two nights apiece in Atlanta and Boston, as well as a New York show at Radio City Music Hall.Swapmeet are supporting the newly added dates; check out the full itinerary below.In a press release, Solomon said of the video, “I normally animate music videos for my own songs, but I found this song incredibly personal, even though it wasn’t mine.
I think everyone can relate to the little man in the video having a bad day.But I wanted the video to ultimately have a positive message even though it’s sad.
