Pilot found dead after two planes crash mid-air in Upstate New York
A pilot was killed Friday when two glider planes crashed in the air over Upstate New York, police said.A pilot was killed Friday when two glider planes crashed in the air over Upstate New York, police said.The aircraft collided around 2:30 p.m.in Edinburg, a town roughly 20 miles from Saratoga Springs.One plane landed safely at the nearby Plateau Sky Ranch Airport, while the second crashed in a remote area, according to New York State Police.The body of the pilot, who was the only person in the jet and has not been publicly identified, was later found at the crash site.It’s not clear what caused the crash.
