Just when you think you have lived long enough to have seen and heard it all, you read that a Mount Vernon deputy police commissioner drove a getaway car for her son’s gang shooting — with the help from her ex-con husband, no less (“Police brass ‘crime’ family,” Aug.5).To say it’s getting crazier and crazier out there is the understatement of the year.
