WanDale Robinson being evaluated for concussion after cheap practice hit

Titans wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson is being evaluated for a concussion, and Robert Saleh isn’t a fan of how it happened.Robinson, 25, took a hard hit from Bears safety Xavier Woods during Thursday’s joint practice with Chicago, kicking off a brief skirmish between the two teams before the ex-Giants receiver walked off under his own power.Saleh wasn’t shy about sharing his thoughts after the workout. “It was cheap,” Saleh told reporters of the play. Tennessee guard Peter Skoronski also called out Woods, who played for the Titans last season, after practice.“That’s teach tape 101 in terms of what not to do in a thud practice and a thud period,” Skoronski said.“You can’t have guys like Wan’Dale going down like that and hits like that aren’t necessary.

“So that’s really more about me than it is about him.But he’s tough.

He got up, and he’s good.I have to make sure I don’t put him in that kind of position again.”Robinson is in his first year with the Titans after signing a four-year, $70 million deal with the franchise over the offseason. He followed Brian Daboll after the former Giants head coach was hired to be Saleh’s offensive coordinator in Tennessee. The Titans take on the Bears in their final preseason game on Saturday. Tennessee opens the regular season against the Jets on Sept.
